Steven D. Madge is a British entrepreneur and founder of
MADGE Group & Associates.
Born in Leeds, England, he is a qualified
engineer in Mechanical Engineering and a renowned
specialist advisor in advanced automotive
development. Throughout the last 25 years,
Steven has been working with and consulting
to the international automotive industry.
His clients include Aston Martin, Audi, BMW,
Bentley Motors, Daimler, Chrysler, Ford, Mitsubishi,
Land Rover, Proton, and Volvo. His experience
in global vehicle design and development has
earned him a reputation as being one of the
most knowledgeable automotive interior specialists
within the industry. |

In
1979, he joined Lotus Cars of England and
worked for Colin Chapman, the founder of Lotus
Cars Ltd, on the newly developed Lotus Esprit.
In 1980, he was commissioned by the DeLorean
Motor Company reporting directly to John DeLorean,
advising and recommending solutions to solve
early product production quality and engineering
issues on the DMC 12.
In 1981, he joined BMW in Munich where he
was involved in developing the landmark interiors
of the 3, 5 and 7 series and, finally transferred
to BMW's Technik (Think-tank) division reporting
to CEO Dr Ulrich Bez and chief designer Harm
Lagaay. |

In 1990, Steven formed the company Trimtec
Autotechnik (Automotive Trim Technology),
a specialist design, development, and engineering
consultancy, offering international automotive
customers innovative interior solutions.

In 1995, 2compare Experts in Benchmarking,
was founded to offer the automotive industry
an unbiased approach to performance Benchmarking.

In 2003 Steven established MADGE
Group & Associates,
an international consulting arm of experts,
offering the international automotive and
non automotive industries, technical advice
in the advanced development and optimization
of new and existing product.
Over many years, Steven has been involved
and instrumental in over hundreds of complex
development programs. He has gained insight
into the global demands and expectations of
the automotive industry by understanding differing
human behavior, the requirements of the vehicle
manufacturers, the expectations of the consumer,
and the difficulties placed on the suppliers.

In 2008 Steven became involved in the rapidly growing Renewable Energy industries and today supports the development of small and large Wind Turbine systems, ranging in output from 12KW to 6MW.
Steven has written several articles and speaks
regularly around the world about the impact
of global design and how cultural and environmental
aspects affect the market.
